Manufacturing LED lighting requires precision. Unlike some manufacturers that adopt primary assembly lines, in Meiji Lighting Manufacturing System, we carefully supervise and regulate each stage of production. Take a look at each step-

Step 1. LED Light Strip Material IQC
After the materials arrive at the factory, they need to be inspected for quality such as LED, PCB, IC, aluminum profile, etc. Therefore, quality control is the first and most important thing we need to do well because the product may be defective.
Step 2. LED Color Temperature Check
Then, we check the color temperature of the LED. All the LED chips that arrive are tested. For example, we test the brightness and color rendering index of the color to ensure that the customer has this specific number.
Step 3. LED Drying Process
Now, the LED needs to be dried at a temperature not less than 65℃ for 8 hours. After this step, the surface mount technology (SMT) process comes next.
Step 4. LED Light Strip SMT Process
Modern lighting technology often adopts SMT to make LED light strips. Although SMT stands for surface mount technology, it is not just sticking things on the surface. It requires a fast, automated machine to manufacture LEDs. Therefore, people are sometimes confused about this.
Step 5. LED Strip Reflow Soldering Process
In this step, we use solder paste to connect the LED devices to the PCB. First, the PCB is placed in the machine, which heats it to a specific temperature. Then, it turns the solder paste into a liquid. Subsequently, the liquid solder firmly bonds the components to the PCB. It ensures that they stay in place and function properly.
Step 6. LED Strip Inspection Process
In this process, we check whether the strip is intact. Through visual inspection, we ensure that the color change is perfect. In addition, we check the equipment to ensure that it is properly aligned with the solder bridge.
Step 7. LED Strip Soldering Process
In this stage, we connect the LED lights. First, we check the small PCB without any angles and lead-free solder. After the inspection, we put the LED strip into the machine. The equipment then connects a 0.5-meter ribbon to a longer 5-meter strip. This ensures that the LED lights are firmly connected and ready for the next step in the manufacturing process.
Step 8. LED Strip PCB Cleaning Process
Now, we make sure the strip PCB is nice and clean. Clean PCBs function and look better in the final product. This is important for quality. We clean the PCBs by removing any dirt, dust, or leftover solder from the previous steps.
We use special equipment and cleaning solutions to clean the PCBs. These machines carefully wash and dry the PCBs to ensure that they are spotless. Therefore, our strip lights will shine brightly and work properly after installation. Also, it will increase the high performance and appearance standards of the product.
Step 9. LED Strip Aging Process
In this step, we let the LED strip lights run for 8 hours. This helps us make sure that they work properly over time. It’s like testing them to see if they work properly, stay bright, and don’t get damaged. We want to make sure that when you use these lights, they last a long time. So, you can enjoy our LED strip lights for a long time without any worries.
Step 10. LED Strip Waterproofing Process
For LED strip lights, waterproofing is essential to prevent the strip from getting water and moisture. To this end, the LED light strips use high-quality IP65 silicon tubes and IP67 silicon injection coating. This coating acts like a protective shield that prevents water from entering and damaging the light.

So you can safely use the LED light strips outdoors even in wet conditions.

Waterproofness is a key step in the manufacturing process to ensure the durability and life of the LED light strips.

Step 11. LED Light Strip Plus 3M Tape Process

The 3M tape on the back of the LED light strips makes it easy for customers to install the lights. We use 3M 9080 waterproof strips and non-waterproof strips. If you want other types of 3M adhesives with better adhesion or better thermal conductivity, we can provide that as well.

Step 12. LED Light Strip Final Inspection

Once the entire LED light strip package goes through our production process. Then the quality control team at LED Starlight will do a final inspection of the product. They make sure the light strips have the right lighting color, are free of any defects, and look good enough to satisfy the customer.
